Siyka Mileva, Special Prosecutor's Office: Seven persons charged as members of organised crime group for racketeering in Burgas

Sofia. Seven persons, part of an organised crime group for racketeering in Burgas, have been charged, said the Spokesperson of the Special Prosecutor's Office, Siyka Mileva, at a press briefing on the police operation that dismantled the group yesterday, October 14, Focus News Agency reports.
The law enforcers seized mobile phones, cash and documents. A balaclava was also seized at one of the addresses. The group consisted of seven persons, criminally charged and convicted, who had a high standard of living. One of them had been sentenced to life in prison without parole for murdering two people by car bombs. From the Stara Zagora prison, where he is currently serving his sentence, he was making the contact with the group. The group was active in two areas, security services and high interest rate loans. Members of the group threatened owners of retail outlets, hotels and complexes into concluding contracts with private security companies managed by members of the group.
