Smolyan. Bulgaria should pursue a much more aggressive policy regarding tourism and advertising of the country abroad, President Rumen Radev told reporters in Smolyan, referring to recent bankruptcies of tour operators,
Focus Radio Smolyan reported. According to the head of state, Bulgaria lags behind a number of neighbouring countries. "What they do as an outdoor advertising campaign is much more powerful than what we do. Everything is a national interest – economy is a national interest, security is a national interest, if we count [tourism] as part of the national interest, we need to defend our stance more aggressively," said President Radev.
