Earlier today, the parliamentary session was cancelled for lack of quorum. At the third attempt, 120 MPs registered as present, while the rules of procedure require at least 121 for the sitting to proceed. The opposition Bulgarian Socialist Party and the Movement for Rights and Freedom said they were against the amendments to the Electoral Code and would not register as present. The changes to the election law were the first item on today’s agenda.
