According to the provisions, the annual state subsidy granted to political parties and coalitions for the period from 26 May 2016 to the date of this law entry into force will be recalculated. The difference between the received state subsidies and the recalculated amount will be returned by the political parties. The amounts will be paid back to the central budget.
Within 7 days after the entry into force of this law, the Ministry of Finance will publish information on the funds to be returned by the parties. A party that did not repay voluntarily will receive 70% of the subsidy it is entitled to and 50% of each subsequent part within one year of the entry into force of this law. The law also regulates cases in which a party does not have sufficient funds. In such case the difference can be returned by 31 December 2020.
