Tsvetan Tsvetanov, GERB: There is no deal with Volya but ideas under discussion

20 March 2019 | 15:00 | FOCUS News Agency
Sofia. There is no deal with Volya but ideas under discussion and real policies that are being implemented, GERB’s leader in Parliament Tsvetan Tsvetanov told a briefing after a meeting with Volya’s parliamentary group, Focus News Agency reports. Thus he rejected allegations by BSP that GERB was negotiating a deal with Volya. Among the discussed topics was the development of Northwest Bulgaria and minimum pension, Tsvetanov said. “Mr. Mareshki said that, as set out in their programme, the pension should reach BGN 240 by the end of 2021. We are talking about the real capacity of the state, not about populism and populist messages,” he said.

Sofia. BSP wants to know the details of what it says could be a deal between ruling party GERB and Volya, the opposition party’s deputy speaker in Parliament said to reporters, quoted by Focus News Agency. “Maybe tomorrow in the temple of Bulgarian democracy – the Bulgarian Parliament, the highest institution in a parliamentary republic – there will be a deal between Mr. Tsvetanov and Mr. Mareshki,” Dragomir Stoynev said during a party press conference. “We want to know what the subject of this deal is. We want to know what the price of GERB cabinet’s survival will be. Without this deal, the cabinet will fall. The Bulgarian people must know the parameters of this deal,” he said. The talks will probably be held tomorrow at 9 am because Volya MPs should register for the Parliament’s plenary sitting, he added.
