The Times: Police fall ill at chemical expert’s home14 September 2018 | 02:26 | FOCUS News Agency
Chris Busby, 73, a retired research scientist, was arrested and his property in Bideford, Devon, cordoned off as a hazardous area response team was called to treat the officers. The property is thought to house a private laboratory, which was sealed off.
Specialist officers were called to examine items seized from the house and an army explosive ordnance disposal team was deployed. Dr Busby, an expert on the effects of internal ionising radiation who has claimed that Britain may be behind the Salisbury poisoning, was detained under explosives laws but has since been released with no further action.
