Sylvie Vartan: It’s always very moving to me to return to Bulgaria, it feels like being back with my family17 April 2018 | 15:23 | FOCUS News Agency
With regard to her upcoming two concerts in Bulgaria, which are part of the final tour of her career entitled Forever Sylvie, she commented: “I will present the show that I presented two days ago in Paris. The concert consists of three parts. The first part is dedicated to songs from the 1960s to the 1980s – a wonderful period, very up-tempo with its rock'n'roll and all that incredible rhythm and creativity.” The second part covers the period from the 1980s till today – songs that are more mature and closer to the present, Sylvie explained. “The third part will be dedicated to my ex-husband, Johnny Hallyday, who, unfortunately, passed away last December and I’m paying tribute to the great artist he was. We sang many times together and, of course, we loved each other, got married and became parents, we were together for 20 years. Maybe he is not as well known in Bulgaria, but for me it was important to pay tribute to his great career,” she added.
As to her co-operation with the Bulgarian Red Cross, Vartan commented that she wanted this collaboration and friendship to continue for as long as possible. “It is always wonderful to visit the Red Cross, to meet the nice people who devote so much time to the good causes, to the children. I thank President of the Bulgarian Red Cross Hristo Grigorov and all his team,” said the singer.
