Poll: Both main electorates mobilised amid strong GERB-BSP rivalry14 November 2017 | 15:05 | FOCUS News Agency
52% of polled people agree that protests in the last weeks were unusual and indicate a tough situation.
Traditional criticism of power remains, leading to a clearer sympathy (50%) for a possible no-confidence vote on the subject of corruption, nepotism, etc.
However, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms’ (MRF) call for a reform of the government coalition with the removal of the Patriots is not supported. It is rejected by 58% of respondents.
The two main electorates in the country are mobilised due to the strong rivalry between Citizens of European Development of Bulgaria (CEDB/GERB) and Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP).
When it comes to resignations of people in power, society is uncertain whether officials must first resign amid doubts of corruption or stay in power while they are investigated and possibly convicted.
The poll was conducted among 801 people and is representative for adult Bulgarians.
