Ombudswoman Maya Manolova went to General Toshevo town to meet local citizens in connection with a proposed gas project in the area, FOCUS Radio - Varna
reports. People worry about the environment, their livelihood and health. They will vote on local natural gas exploration and production in a referendum on December 17, which will be valid if at least 5,406 people take part. Ombudswoman Manolova said that people were right in their worries, as the environmental impact assessment had not convinced them about the safety of the proposed activities. She told reporters she had received no response to some questions either and there were rumours and doubts.
