Sofia Municipal Council adopts strategy for developing city’s water supply and sewerage infrastructure by 2025 for over BGN 2 billion12 October 2017 | 14:32 | FOCUS News Agency
“The idea of the strategy is building a sewerage system on the territory of Sofia where such is missing or is only partially built; replacing the existing water supply network as it is dilapidated; and adjusting riverbeds that are near future sewage collectors. We need about BGN 2 billion to do that,” says Irina Savina, Deputy Mayor of Sofia Municipality, who is one of the movers of the strategy. All possible sources of funding have been considered, she explained saying, “We hope that with the available funds we will be able to make target investments in the next years and finish off the water supply and sewerage network.”
