“As far as textbooks are concerned, by 27 August all books and study materials for grades 1 and 5 had already been delivered. Those for grades 2 and 5 were approved in August by order of the minister. Their delivery began on 25 August and we were assured that by 15 September all students would be provided with textbooks and workbooks,” said Deputy Minister.
“The first weeks are focused on revision, so I think there will be no problem, and the study materials will be provided in time for the beginning of the school year,” Mihaylova said.
The deputy minister said that the country is still looking for teachers for the new year. According to her, every regional education administration posts ads for teaching vacancies on its website, but the exact number of the filled in positions for this school year will become clear on 15 September.
