Sofia. Today, according to my information, the PM has also ordered for a Defence Ministry employee, who has similar pictures somewhere on Facebook, to be fired, said Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (CEDB) Parliamentary Group Chairperson Tsvetan Tsvetanov for journalists, a reporter of FOCUS News Agency reported.
The employee in question is Ivo Antonov, the head of the Social Policy directorate at the Ministry of Defence. “Such pictures, such statements will not be tolerated by us,” Tsvetanov said. In relation to the requests of the opposition for the resignation of Deputy PM Valeri Simeonov because of his reaction to the scandal of the picture featuring Nazi gestures by the already resigned deputy minister Pavel Tenev, Tsvetanov noted that this action was normal and coordinated between the two powers – Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) and Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRS), which are at parliament. “We will not deviate in any way from our Euro-Atlantic values, we will not deviate in any way from being a part of a strong and united Europe, being a part of NATO. I believe that in the preamble of the accents of our government programme, which were signed along with United Patriots, this was the main part,” Tsvetanov noted.
