BBSS: Borisov 3 cabinet starts work at 32% trust18 May 2017 | 14:51 | FOCUS News Agency
This provides the new cabinet some initial comfort, albeit a small one considering past historical periods. As usual in Bulgaria, the negative assessments of the institutions surpass the positive ones. At the start of a new mandate, however, the situation is always more favourable. In the following weeks and months, the starting credit of trust of the Borisov 3 cabinet might establish itself more precisely, as society is just getting used to the change of powers, and will be forming its initial impressions of it. The caretaker government managed to bring some reassurance – distrust in the government dropped below the levels of over 60% from the end of the previous Borisov mandate to levels of about and over 50%.
The same trend is observed with the values for trust in the parliament. There, the caretaker government again brought with it a more favourable attitude towards the institutions of the National Assembly – the negative assessments went down from levels of above 70% at the end of the previous mandate to levels significantly below 70%. Paradoxically, these more favourable values of approval of the parliament arrive at a period in which it practically does not exist.
