12 municipalities in Bulgaria reported more than 500% increase in municipal debt in 201410 January 2017 | 14:44 | FOCUS News Agency
In 2014 some 43 municipalities reported more than 50% increase in their debt on annual basis. In 35 municipalities the increase is of more than 100%.
In 12 cases the increase is of more than 500% - these are the municipalities of Kameno, Karnobat, Suvorovo, Roman, Asenovgrad, Rakovski, Rodopi, Sopot, Dve Mogili, Kostinbrod, Madzharovo, and Tundzha.
By December 31, 2015 some 82 municipalities, on the other hand, do not report municipal debt.
